Baby Niece - did I get it right?

I've just started taking some portrait photos and need your feedback. This one in particular, I'm wondering what you think of the coloring and the overall feel of the photo. Also, anything else you think would help me become better. Thanks so much!

Adorable baby!

I love the expression on her face and the thought you put into your color scheme.

The only thing I would say is that her face looks a little shadowed to me and as a result, her eyes look a bit dark. Therefore, I would love to see her lit in a way that brightens both her face and her eyes.

I agree with SummerWish.
just brighten up the face a bit in PP and maybe the eyes and you'll have a great photo.
also, I think her skin tone might have to much magenta in it but I'm not sure about it.

She is so cute. I love her hair color. I am just a beginner so don't know how to do it but I would accentuate her red hair and the eyes look unnaturally blue.

Thank you so much for the feedback. I will lighten up the face and see what I can do about her hair and eyes (I think I made them a bit too blue) I'm just starting to work with photo shop and am still not sure how to select just one area to correct, but I'll figure it out.

hmm, just an opinion, mind you: i'm ordinarily a big color fan, but i think in this case there is actually so much color that you lose track of who the photo is about. this is a lovely rosy baby with pretty blue eyes; if i were to do it i'd probably use only pink or purple- and probably pink b/c it is warmer- and a much paler hue. and probably wouldn't use a color at all- something neutral. it's almost like telling the baby's gender is more important than showing who she is.

anyway, that's my reaction to the photo. hope i didn't offend.

ETA, oh, if you were to retake- probably if you turned her a bit more toward the light, you could catch some in her eyes, and that would be lovely

Love the picture, I would just ask for less shadow on her face. Beautiful little girl!
