Red face It's a good pic??

I took this photo in a forest in Puerto Rico. I used the self-timer option and the B&W filter.

Any comments or recommendations?

I think it's got potential. It's really underexposed thus it lacks contrast. You could do a levels/curves adjustment and punch it up quite a bit.

The framing seems a little off. The tree to the left, plus the oddly cut off arm sit funny with me. I'd like to see one where you're zoomed out just a bit more if possible, and shifted to your left (camera right) to get out from behind that tree.

like IABoomer said, extremely underexposed, all gray with no whites or blacks (well, maybe blacks).
that can all be fixed in PP but what bothers me are the branches in front of his face and the cut off arm, but mostly the branch blocking his face.

your photo has very good potentials if you can follow Mr. Jones and IABoomer's suggestions when you reshoot this. if you can reshoot without the distractions like the twigs on the face and the small tree on the left that covers the elbow and if you can include the elbow this can be a very good photo. about the underexpsure, this is not so much of a problem because it can be corrected in editing.
