Hello! I have this photo I took of my nephew and I was wondering what improvements might be made such as angle, DOF etc. I wish I had thought it out more as the background drives me crazy (he was in his bouncer/chair). As far as the close up of him what do you think? Does it look back to completely have missed his ears! LOL Oops! What processing could be done to make this a stunning photograph? My mind says in B&W and somehow downplay that background. I'd love to give this to them in a frame for Christmas.

It does look somewhat odd without his ear. I would play with a square crop to a lot of the far left, it feels like there is too much side and forehead. I do think this would be an excellent candidate for black & white. One other note, as presented, I find the out of focus hand distracting. Although, with a new crop it might not bug me as much.
