Generally, I like it too. I am a fan of tight crop photos. Here are a few thoughts (take them for what they are worth, I have only been doing photography for a couple years).
1. Colors - like the warmer look 2. Flash - seems to be strong on the cheek 3. The shadow of glasses draw me away from the eye instead of to the eye. 4. The half face crop seems a little to "rigid". This might not make sense to you, but the crop in the middle of the face seems like a harsh edge. Not sure what to do about it, if anything. Could just be my personal preference, while I like tight crops, I generally like to have both eyes in the shot. Hope this is helpful.

ok. I love the colors and the lightning but you chose the wrong angle and got the shadows of the glasses and what just feels like a weird crop.
when you're taking a "half face" photo, you want to come straight from the front with the model looking right at you. what you did here is coming from the left and you can see her eyes looking a bit to her right and up. I don't mid the harsh lightning, I think it adds an edge. just the angle of otherwise a very nice photo. i've added a photo I took a while back to show you what I mean, though it isn't a perfect angle... it's close ![]() just look where her eye is going, straight into the camera.

@MrJones: You put into words what I could not about the crop. Thanks. That helped me learn also...
