Default Question on skin tone

Let me know if this should be moved to the post processing section - I struggled with where to put this. To be completely honest, I decided on this section b/c I think it gets more traffic.

Anyway, can those lucky people out there with a calibrated monitor comment on the skin tone of this picture? I thought I had it spot on until I printed it and it seemed to be slightly yellow or reddish in the print.

I know. The answer is that I should get my monitor calibrated myself, but part of the reason I'm asking for opinions is so I can help decide just how out of whack my monitor might be.

Thanks - mods feel free to move the thread if needed.

Hey there, Mike!

Actually, her face looks overexposed to me, as well as a bit soft. The focus fell on her top/dress at the bottom of the photo. Bring down the exposure on her face a bit if you can; hard to tell the color when her face is borderline blown out. It might be a tad cool, actually.

Very cute, though!

Thanks Susan - if I had only brought my gray card and DGK that you tought me how to use I wouldn't be in this mess : )

I've re-attached an image with the exposure toned down a bit. I have a habit of going to bright when playing with my RAW files.

Mike

the skin tone seems fine to me.
I actually love this photo, just wish the focus was better like Susan said.

Mike, the toned down version looks good, exposure and color wise. Now go shoot again and get her eyes in focus.

hope you don't mind but I was bored at work and since I loved the photo, I decided to try and to get the best of it.
so after cropping, sharpening, saturating and adding a bit of texture... this is what came out
