aww first of all jealous. love the fall foliage. dont get that much down my way. and for the photo I love it. I personally would have cropped just a bit more off his left side. but I love the pose and the colors. nice job. keep posting!

looking good as it is... exposure is fine... pose fine... maybe if you want more pop, go for some weird angle that people dont usually see... keep it up and keep shooting..

ok. love the background, love the kid. don't like the pose.
he looks like he is stretching his shoulders too much backwards. while this pose might have worked on a tall adult, on a kid, the hight of the fence is too much for him to feel comfortable. I do like the "take the photo and let me go!" expression
other than that, try and brighten up his face in PP cause it feels a bit underexposed and next time try using a reflector or fill flash to fill the gaps.
composition wise, he is dead center which is a bit boring, might have worked better posing him on the right and catching both his face and the full background without having him block the view.
I realize some of the things I'm saying here require planning and we don't always have the time but they are things worth being in your head the next time you shoot.
good luck

Thanks for the feed back. I was wondering if anyone knew how to pull more color into the sky...besides PP? It was a nice blue that day, but to get the colors and lighting correct on my camera, I feel that somehow it lost that.

Expose for the sky, then in post processing adjust the exposure of your subject in a new layer.

Cute photo and I agree with previous CC, just wanted to add that the white balance is off; the whole photo (including his skin) has a really yellow/green cast to it.
