I have just started getting interested in photography over these past few months. I'd like feedback on how to improve lighting techniques because I'm here to learn. I don't mind any critique, that's what I'm here for, because it will help me improve. Thank you. ____________________ FinePixS5800 S800 Last edited by judie96; 11-03-2010 at 06:56 PM. ok, wish you chose the one I thought interesting but will critique this one
![]() lightning - you've got the harshest, strongest, killing all details lightning coming from her left. you should dial the power way down as you've got her face all overexposed leaving no details, just strong white. you actually almost lost half a nose there. focus - her eyes are not in focus which is the basic or basics in portrait photography. if the eyes aren't in focus, usually it's bad. composition - her face is cut off on the right side on the photo while you have extra space on the left side. not really sure why. sorry if I'm too harsh, I just feel that this is the way to learn photography.
