Default Fall Toddler Portrait

I am new and trying to improve my hobby of portrait photography. I got three photos yesterday that I thought turned out well, this being one of them. Just trying to improve and looking for any critique that might help me improve. Thanks!

Yes I did some adjustments. I looked at it on the other computer screen in my house and it looks way over saturated. Not sure now how I should proceed.

I would start by adjusting the screen settings

It does seem a bit oversaturated. You probably need to calibrate your monitor. But a lovely capture you have. The processing ruins it a bit BUT thats an easy fix.

thanks for all the replies. I am trying to figure out how to calibrate my monitor now.

How is this adjustment to saturation? Other than the color problem, is there any thing else that could have been better? I know that's not very specific!

I like the first one better, the second one looks dull on my screen... but then again I like bright colours

There is software that you buy to calibrate your monitor. BUT, I believe that zenfolio sells some kind of calibration software for $3 - or something like that.
