At the Beach

Took this picture at the beach and was wondering what you guys think. Has been edited a little bit in aperture and lightroom.

my first impression is that it's a bit out of focus.

I think that you should have shot this in manual and expose for the face (or shoot in Aperture priority and use spot metering on his face). The t-shirt is too dark, and the sky behind is overexposed.

The image gives me a feeling of old/fashion-like shoot, so I think you could process it in LR to gain that effect - just a personal thought on post-processing options. I think that if you search for "Lightroom fashion preset" you may find a free preset to download.

Very nice pic. I would do some editing with the beach (give it a hint of blue). The fact I can see you on his glasses distract me ... maybe edit that too... or just work with the contrast. I like the composition
