Default Rainy Istanbul

I just got back from Istanbul several days ago. It was raining almost all of the time I was there. I remembered the article I read here about photos in rain, so I thought I'd give it a try. I couldn't get what I wanted at first, and I don't think I did at the end too. But this two are the ones that I think came out better than others. What do you think, do they work at least a little bit? Or are they too blurry? Can you feel the mood in them? I'd also appreciate overall comments on these photos. Thanks in advance

I can't see the first one and you're only allowed one photo per post so I'll critique the second one.
I think you've got something interesting there. I like the half rainy half dry photo idea.
I think it would have been great with a small children's hand on the rainy window but it's interesting enough as it is.

I can only see one photo. I really do like the composition idea of the up close rain with the multitude of umbrellas in background, but it is lacking a strong focal interest in the foreground for me. Would love to see more and thanks so much for sharing!!

I like both photos, especially the 2nd one. Interesting idea!

However, no one will recognize that this is Istanbul. Were you able to get rain pix of some of the famous landmarks such as the Hagia Sofia?
