Default Im trying for a pastel tone type of shot


My daughter Danielle.

Camera Nikon D80
Exposure 0.003 sec (1/400)
Aperture f/5.0
Focal Length 70 mm
ISO Speed 250
Software Adobe Photoshop CS2 Windows
Date and Time (Modified) 2010:10:22 18:34:55

I was wondering If it looks like I'm headed in the right direction with this type of processing? What can i do to make it better? Thanks for looking

What a pretty picture, I love how she is looking out and the composition. I love the haze towards her face as well and the softness of it. A couple things I would change. It still looks more grayish to me than really pastel. I would maybe add a little pink (light magenta) to it to soften it out some more with the pastel tone. I also would try to adjust the window (I assume thats what she is looking out of). Its really bright and a bit blown out. the brightness does work with this picture, but its a little too bright for my liking. Maybe add another layer and adjust just that part of the picture. Love this though and I am sure your daughter does too!
