Default Leaf Jumping

#239 Ready, Set, Go!

Hello all. This is my first post as I am new to DPS. Any critiques/compliments are greatly appreciated. I am also fairly new to photography so I am trying to learn as much as I can. Thanks.

Nice idea, IMO I think that the focus should be on the child's face not the leaves. Also the light is very harsh {washed out} on the left side of the photo. Some PP might help, keep posting.

I think the photo is good, a little blown out but still good,
the composition is good also, with foreground and background element telling a story that suits the title.
color is correct also...
my only comment is...
...

...
the moment.

do you have a shot where the kid really jumps on the leaves? that would have been more suitable to the title

Thanks for the comments. As you can see the sun was to my left and there were objects (tree to left) I didn't want in the frame so I was positioned as best as I could. I agree that it looks washed out to the left but I had my camera set on aperture priority. How could I avoid the washed out problem in the future without post processing? Thanks again.

Oh and I do have more shots of her actually jumping but this one was my favorite. Should have been titled "Getting Ready for Leaf Jumping".
