Default Sarah on the Stepping stones

Ok, so I took a friend Sarah out yesterday to get some nice shots of her. Took her to a place called Plessey Woods just north of Newcastle.

Now this is only my third time out shooting people outdoors, so I am really after some feedback on this one. I only had pop-up flash as I just don't have the cash at the moment for a flash gun or soft box.

Personally I love the way she has her feet and the shape her legs make. I also love the laughing on her face.

Camera: Nikon D5000
F-stop: F/5
Exposure Time: 1/400 sec.
ISO: 400
Focal Length: 70mm
Flash: None

That's a great shot. The skin tone looks just a little grey to me, and it might be worth seeing if you could lighten the shadows on her face, but it's really very good.

I completely agree with what you're saying about the skin tones. Unfortunately I am having a little trouble doing that properly with photoshop. I am not great with that sort of thing and usually have to find a tutorial to follow and learn from. If you know of one that would help, it would be appreciated.

Please be sure to include what the guidelines ask for. Thank you!

One thing you can do with your skin ones is after you've taken the shot, add a warming filter to it. Should help

Apologies for that. I must admit I had not read it.

A warming filter? I assume I will find that in photoshop?

it seems to have some motion blur which kinda takes the edge from the photo. I'm guessing you shot at about 1/50 shutter speed and she moved while she was laughing. maybe even slower when I look at the water flow.
post your EXIF data so we can help you better.
