Default My first portrait picture B&W hi-key

most of my pictures are landscape,

Now, I am trying with portraits, and here are samples of my first attempts

She is my daughter

good photo and a beautiful daughter!
I think you overexposed a little, though I usually like this kind of photography, I would lower it a bit in PP to get some of her nose and chin lines back.
maybe use a slightly lower angle when taking the photo but it's not a must, just my opinion.

The composition is good, rule of thirds is followed, no odd cuts on joints... there's not much difference in shooting portrait from landscape, you just need to achieve a sort of balance in the photo.
Also...
When shooting in black and white, try to take note of the tones in the photo, in this case it would be better if there are some shadows at either side of the face so that the shape of the face can be emphasized.
