Default My son B&W

Just wanted to get opinions of the B&W conversion of this shot of my son. Do you think it needs altering in any way? Maybe more contrast? Thanks for any opinions.

First let me say that your son is absolutely beautiful! And what an awesome picture. Those eyes are spot on! As for contrast I think it is beautiful as is because you are drawn into the eyes. Thanx for sharing!

I beg to differ that he is in B/W, as he appears to just be a grayscale version of a color photo.

Here is a great DPS article about converting an image to B/W: How to Convert Color Digital Images into Black and White Ones

I guess your right about it being grayscale, but I tend to think of grayscale and b&w images to be the same really.

Awesome picture! I don't think you should do anything besides frame it and hang it. Thanks for sharing!

It is a beautiful picture of a beautiful baby. I do think it could be improved though.

I'm new to PP myself, but here's what a quick levels fix would do. I'm sure others could do much better. I can take it down if you want.

Photobucket

In any case, great photo! Good job!

What a cutie! And those eyes. . .

You could play with duo-tones and darkening up the photo for a more dramatic effect. However, you may find that for a baby, the soft look works.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I like the changes that Lisa made but still not sure tho because I think it starts to lose the soft look of the shot that I wanted.
