Default baby picture in RAW

Okay, I am starting to shoot in RAW and edit in lightroom, but I feel like my pictures are flat compared to shooting jpeg?? I have tweaked and tweaked this photo, but feel like something is missing??

It looks a bit oversaturated (baby's skin has orange patches and the red channel is blown in her sweater). Can you post the SOOC (just the RAW converted to JPG, no tweaks). That would help if we could see your starting point.

went to photoshop elements not much better Yes, the sweater was a problem but it seemed to effect her lips when I would try to mess with that channel in lightroom. She had purple lips..

the last post is a bit yellowish. try selecting the red sweater before you do adjustments.
i don't know if lightroom has a sponge tool that you can desaturate or saturate locally. if it has, try brushing the oversaturated areas. but the better way would be to get used to the selection tools and adjust the selected areas.
here is a sample but this was done in cs2.

Very true! I noted that in the down and dirty version, but it was late.
