Post Critique Engagement Photos

I'm new to everything photography so any comments are appreciated. This is a picture of my best friend and her fiance, so they're definitely my guinea pigs.

On the photo attached, please critique the composition and lighting. But if you feel like other factors are making the photo kinda blah, dont hesitate to let me know. I feel like I can't figure out how to get a crisp picture. This was taken on a very sunny day so we had to hide in the shade of the trees.

I would suggest lowering your ISO to 200 or so if you're going to be in the sunlight unless you want the grainy look which some people like. I like the composition. They look very happy!

Why are you using such a high ISO outdoors?

Yes I agree a lower ISO is def in need here but no worries you can still easily fix and save this shot just adjust your contrast

Nice composition. Cute couple.

The photos seems out of focus and could use some PS processing.

Here’s a quick rendition. I softened skin. Cloned errant pixels Brightened and sharpen eyes.

Kayla_Fiance

Just an example.

With the original, things will look better.

Hi, I have the same camera and I've learned to keep the ISO as low as possible, otherwise you are always going to haqve that excess noise. Its a common problem with all non-DSLR cameras.

very nice composition. I love how they look very comfortable and happy... Did you cropped the picture? I have a feeling that you did and that's may be the reason of your soft picture... Remember when you crop you will loose quality and not to mention pixels!

ps: hiding in the shade of trees is a big plus. (of course, when you get a nice light) and it seems you did in this photo.
