I caught this shot with my daughter looking out the sliding glass door in our living room. I know her eyes are not in focus, but I read somewhere that rules are more like "guidelines". I broke this rule on purpose, and was wondering if it works. Also anything else about the shot would be much appreciated! Thanks.

It sorta works, but not quite...
Why? IMO, if I look at a photo I notice that my eyes are drawn to the light parts first, then to the dark parts after, by looking at your photo the first thing I see is the blurred eyes, then I see the sharp hair by the ears, which I think has nice texture, the overall composition is good, though. But frankly, I would prefer it if the eyes were sharp, why? try squinting and look at the photo
