Exclamation Little lady in the red dress

I'm still so new at this. I know I should have brought a reflector or used a flash, hopefully I'll remember next time. I tried to "fix" the lighting on her face and arms through PhotoShop. How did I do as far as my attempt at the lighting on the skin, arms and face? Is the blur in the back to much?

I like the background and I love the colors. I do think there is too big of a difference between the too sides of her face in terms of lighting. If you shot in RAW, you could try processing the sides separately and merging them in Photoshop.

the light is coming from the left. I think it would have been much better if she was standing facing the light. about 30 dagrees to the right.
also, it would have worked better if she wasn't so centered, maybe the right third of the photo with her face to the photo's left.

I don't know how to do that. I use PhotoShop Elements but I can only do very few things. What little I know is all by trial and a lot of error. But thank you for the advice.
