First I calibrated my monitor (we have the Spyder Express I think) and then did some test shots with different labs to see which ones I liked the best. You have to tell the lab no colour or exposure correction once you calibrate your monitor. There is also some argument about whether to edit in Adobe RGB or SRGB. I do mine in SRGB cause that's the advice I got first and I think it tranlates best to Internet posting. I certainly don't have time to edit twice
![]() There is a cool action at Coffeeshop Freebies (it's a Photoshop and Lightroom blog) for eyes that can help brighten up browns...it's called eye sparkle I think. ~C

I think her eyes look beautiful. You did a good job with them. The brightness looks good on my monitor - other than the vignette which is really strong. I had problems with pictures printing too dark for a long time before I got my Mac. Are you editing on a laptop or really bright screen? That was my problem when I was editing on a laptop - everything looked light then printed completely different. Cute shot!

Note: I just got the picture back from shutterfly and it looks very dark to me. I adjusted my monitor. Thanks for the advise. For anyone else reading this a good point of reference is that the bottom side of my daughters arm to the furthest side of the picture is not really distinguishable from the background on the actual photo.
