Default I was so nervous about this wedding but I like this.

I just shot this HUGE wedding (as the second) I've shot quite a few but this one was by far bigger and more extravagant that any other I've shot so I was pretty nervous. I ended up being very happy with a lot of my shots. Here is one. I just wanted an opinion. I only lightened it a little in post but otherwise I think it looks good. Could it use a little saturation? more light?

Nikon D50
Quantray 28-70 lens
Focal Length 82mm
Exposure 1/125
F6
White Balance Auto
Flash used

Very nice!

I would like to see a tad more saturation and some dreamy-light blurring of the window/background.

Elegant, lovely bride.

Love the delicate soft look of it...but i think you lightened it a bit too much so it lost some of its contrast. I don't think it needs saturation... i think you need to adjust the levels a bit and add some contrast.

This.

It's contrast it needs, not saturation imo. Boost that, and the colour will come back. If it's still a bit washed out, use the vibrance slider to keep her skin tones delicate.

I'd also clean up the window panes so they're all clear without those smudges in them. Shouldn't take more than 2 minutes with the clone brush.

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately I have the oldest version ever of photoshop and am still learning so don't know how to do some of this stuff yet. I just deepened the shadows and contrast a TINY bit. Didn't do anything with the windows yet. Like i said, still learning photoshop. I'm WAY behind on knowing how to do anything in post.

just remember the % with the skin tones for Caucasians... very helpful tick I learned!

CYAN: is one third to one fifth of Magenta or Yellow channel
MAGENTA: magenta and yellow are close to each other
YELLOW: is higher then magenta
K: is zero

What he said about the window light. It seems very bright. Beautiful bride and great idea!

Why is the top of her head and part of her bouquet cut off?

It's just the way it was shot. I did no cropping on it. I was the second shooter on this wedding and was shooting over not only the first photographers shoulder but the videographer as well and trying not to get in thier way or disturb them or the bride.

Here is my quick version, Stina:

Matt & Jennifer Wedding

Adjusted exposure in Lightroom.

Used layers

Softened features in PS. (Bride’s features are so perfect, that she hardly needed it.)

Blurred background and erased the blur on the bride and bouquet @ 100% in the center and 40% around the edges.

Cloned some of the odd spots on the windows

Selected and brightened right iris in curves layer.

Selected eyes. Sharpened via unsharp mask Lab mode method.

You could do much more, like shine the hair, clone out "imperfections." But, you get the idea.
