Default just starting RAW

took today in raw.

tv 1/200
av f9.0
ISO 400
Canon T2i 18-55

I only tweaked in lightroom. Is there certain places you should start first when working in lightroom. I felt a little overwhelmed as there seemed to be more panels at the bottom to use (compared to jpeg)... I always start with white balance and work down each box, exposure, brightness, etc. Is that the process just hit each box in order or should you mess with white balance and then contrast then brightest and then hit tones, etc... Anyways, does it seem too saturated?? looking at it on here may be a little dark?
Sometimes when I brighten I feel as though I am losing texture in face...

Very cute shot!

Typically the LR workflow is just going down the boxes from top to bottom, as needed.

One thing that might help is to pull the sliders to either extreme so you get the feel of things.

I always prefer to pull portraits into PS after adjusting in LR to soften the faces a bit. Digi-cams have this way of exaggerating shadows.

There is a lot more that you could do depending, such as removing some of the errant hair in the faces and reducing the reflections of the glasses, brightening the eyes being careful to keep the natural look of these young girls.
