Question The Boy Who Beats

Taken with Olympus Pen E-PL 1

Focal Length- 42mm
Size- 974 KB
No Flash

This pic was taken at the African American Day Parade on 9/19/10 in New York

What a cutie! Using the third rule on a tighter crop would eliminate the distraction from the background yet keep the image in context?

The focus is slightly off. A faster exposure will crack that for you next time.

I like it.

I thought that if I cropped any more it will lose it's uhmmp. U kno.
I'm new to this and will explore more wit the exposure for sure

Great capture on the expression!!! I agree with NicolaB on cropping tighter, but still a very good pic.

Thanks for the comment. How would I fix over exposed pic. I did something where I turned down the saturation in the pic. Could that be a bad effect.?

I actually cropped and turned the saturation down from within the camera.

Okay. The basic problem is that the photo is overexposed, which means that it got too much light for the amount of time the shutter was open. This is a common problem when shooting in bright sunlight. See how the street behind the boy is completely white? That's called clipping, which means the street was SO bright that no information was really recorded. There not much you can do to fix it now, and it's not a "bad" photograph at all, but it's something you can be aware of next time. Keep shooting and sharing!

I seen the message u sent. for some reason could not respond to it.. But i thank you for opinion and it wasnt harsh at all.. Im taking all this in as a learning experience and looking for people to tell me when something is just bad but also tell how to change it from happening again.

So please feel free to comment as much as you like and tell me all u can on my post to make my pics come out better.
