This is my favorite shot of my son. What do you think about it? How can I improve it?

Bona fide beach bum.

Nikon D60
18-50 mm
f/ 5.3
1/200 sec
iso 200
focal length 46 mm
no flash

Don't forget to include exposure info
I think the image could benefit from a little more lighting, it's a wee bit dark. The only other issue I have is the palm tree on the right, I think it may be distracting to some. If you did away with that distraction and brightened the image a bit, I think you have yourself a wonderful image. Keep in mind these are my personal tid-bits; others may not mind the tree. I love the background, however. Beautiful place.
