You probably could have dropped your ISO a little bit which would have helped with exposure and overall quality.
You could do a shadow/highlight recovery and use levels darken it a little. Also, you are starting to have what i like to call "Zombie" eyes. Use to be a big fad 5 years ago but is frowned upon now. Composition is good |

As a high key image, it still feels off, the only two prominent features (kid's eyes and the blanket seam) are problematic...
The eyes are way too popped. Yes they draw your attention, but because they're over-done. If you did that on another layer, just scale back the opacity. It's the whites of the eyes that give it away... the whole image is white but they're WHITE. The pupils and iris look well done. The blanket seam is too much of a distraction given how strong it is, where its placed in the frame and the direction of the line. The kid's features are a subtle grey colour then you have this big nasty black seam coursing through the right side... High Key is obviously a favourite way of processing baby images and whatever action you used isn't awful, but that blanket would have been a reason for me to either crop down or throw it before even getting that far. |
