I like the composition, the eyes are at well placed and draw interest. They reflect the environment nicely which give them life.
The "model" seems quite cool with being shot, and thus has a natural expression. I don't know which lens you used, but I think if you could have gone f/4.5 the colored thingie on the right would have been less distracting. Or maybe if you could have found another angle... Still, with a little bit of cropping, that could do it, or a even desaturation of the zone in post. The colors are a bit weird, though. I don't know, maybe it's just the gap between the bright blue/cyan of the background and the pink of her cheeks (it was cold, i guess ).Maybe a little bit of desaturation could do it. I don't know. Worth a try?

Thanks alot for the fast response..
![]() First of all, the picture was not set or anything. We were in the cabin lift and I just snapshot her with Auto-Mode on my Nikon D80. But of course, you're right. Her skis on the right are a bit distracting. I'm no shark in Photoshop, actually I haven't even got a copy. If someone would mind trying to desaturate it a bit, I would be thrilled.. Once again thank you. /Sander |

Overall not too bad but pay attention to your backgrounds. The ski is really distracting the way you shot it but if you were to go a little bit wider and get the whole ski into the frame it would fit into the context of the shot better since she is wearing ski goggles it would make sense for the ski to be there. However the way you shot it cant really tell what it is so it is just a distraction. as for desaturating the background that could work but you could also just add some vignetting to place more emphasis on your subject. Also it would have been better to use a more shallow DOF to get a blurred background. It would help place emphasis on your subject.

Did she have the skies leaning against her left shoulder? Because her body stops at her ponytail.
As the others have said, there are a few things you could have done, or do in PP to make it better, but I think you got a nice candid shot. I cant help wondering if your absolutely crazy about the shot, or the subject. I like that, now I'm intrigued. |

Yes, she had the skies leaning against her left shoulder.
Thank you.. I understand you curiousness.. But the young woman in the shot is my girlfriends best friend.. So I have to admit that it is the shot that I'm crazy about .. |
