i like it a lot; it's very sweet and well lit imo. i wish his sweatshirt was pulled down just a bit so you could see his whole face, but i am well aware of the challenges of taking candids of kids
![]() if you got a great shot, who cares if you were in auto? nobody knows but you. well, you and the the hundreds of people you just told

I love this shot! Gorgeous kid. I like the focus on his eye. I would disagree about his jacket, I think the fact that it's up on his face a little bit adds a childish, fun twist to it. Kind of like he's being a little shy. I would have photoshopped the red blotch on his cheek though.
Love it though. Try experimenting with AV mode on your camera. Experimenting with your camera is the best way to find out how to use it to the best of your ability.

Nice candid shot, though I'd prefer it rotated so he is actually lying down. But otherwise - I'd frame this if he were my boy!
As for using your camera on auto - my theory is that Canon, Nikon etc spent a lot of R&D dollars developing an auto function that works so it behooves us to use it now and then!

thanks everyone! yes, i did rotate it. i felt like it was hard to look at with him laying down!? i dont have PS yet so i used Picnik, and i am very new at the limited functions it has to offer at their free price! i did touch up a little red mark under his eye, i will work on his cheek!
thank you again for going easy on me! i have learned so much from DPS! |

I personally cannot tell if its my eyes, my computer or the picture, but his skin seems to be a little bit grainy? though your ISO is at 360 so it shouldn't be a problem... maybe its just me.
