Default My first share...

When I started using manual I was having a really hard time with this awful blue tint to all my pictures. I changed the Picture Control to neutral (from standard) and this was my result .
I would like to share my exif data..but can someone steer me in the right direction on where to find it? Right now I can only find this info from the pics info:

It was a cloudy day and we were inside of two huge bay windows...no other lighting. Using my NIkon D90 with kit lens because I forgot my nifty fifty at home.

Concentrating on skin tone... by avismomma, on Flickr

What do you think of the skin color? Be kind, but honest. I am new and wanting to learn as much as I can. Not as much about post editing, but just getting really good skin tone off the camera itself. Also...not too worried about composition in this one since i was just messing around trying to fix the skin tone I feel like it might be a little pink, but when I added some green in editing it just felt fake.

the editing I did:
bumped curves, enhanced eyes a tiny bit...also softened her skin a little to get rid of a couple of baby acne bumps.

I think the skin tone is very good. The pupils however seem too dark and contrasty and the white area especially on the very top is unnaturally white almost like it got a more radical adjustment than the other white parts. Getting eyes right takes a lot of practice - make sure you adjust areas evenly in a different layer and dial back the transparency when done to kick it back towards reality.

With regard to getting nice color out of the camera, I like to use the neutral tone setting for portraits and set the white balance for the room manually. If the photo needs warmth in the skin tone, I like to use a photo filter in post via photoshop. Hope this helps.

i think the skin tones look pretty good ... but something is throwing me off a little. is it that the picture is a little bright?

sorry ... i'm totally new to this hobby myself ... so my critique probably isn't worth much.
