First of all, I think it is a really sweet photo! I love the expression between the two of them. However, the two things that stand out to me are her feet and legs. Her feet are cut off. I would probably zoomed out a bit, or back up to get her feet in. And maybe turned her a bit so that her legs were more of a side view. I feel like I am looking straight into her crotch.
Just my 2 cents. I think it looks pretty good otherwise. |

Honestly, the pose doesn't work for me. It looks like I'm looking right up the mother's shorts; not flattering for her! The setting seems like a cool place to use, but it may have been better if you were at least level or above them. It also seems a little dark....

I agree with all above. To add on to what they have said. First the picture is crooked. If you can try straightening it. Second don't be afraid in daylight to use your flash. This would have given it some fill light. Last if you are going to take this shot again, try an angle to the right or left to avoid the crotch shot.

while ignoring the crouch critique which was already said, I'll offer mine:
first of all you need to straighten the photo. you can see the stairs are tillted to the left. secondly, the couple is underexposed while the stairway is overexposed on the right.. you can fix it in PP or for next time, using a reflector or fill flash would help. you might want to crop it tighter on their faces, catching their expressions and meanwhile croping out the crouch.
