Default balloons, clouds, sun

I had this picture in my head. i had a couple of issues with the set up......exposed for the background and was too far away to expose the little girl with my pop up flash. however i think i really like the high contrast shadows anyway here. because the clouds were unbelievable that day i feel it makes you realize how bright the sun really was and the light direction makes the balloons pop at least. granted it takes the focus off the little girl completely and makes it more about the balloons clouds and sun. but perhaps feels more like a painting? .

question is....does it work inspite of everything wrong with it....does the deep shadows convey the mood of a sunny day

i appreciate any and all comments!!

honestly, the only thing "wrong" with it in my eyes is that the white balloons kinda get blown out...
i think that all of the colors pop

but, my other opinion is that shes lost a little bit... meaning that i'd like to see more of her though too...

but, its a neat idea...
i just did a small shoot with some balloons and didnt come out the way i wanted either

i know........with wanting to capture those clouds and all balloons she does get lost. hmmm.....it's really more of a novelty type shot maybe to add in amongst alot of the other shots that she's the main focus....just can't decide if i want to add it in the set to include to show her mom?

Cute, I love doing these types of shots.

I'm not loving the light, though. It's very harsh on her face and there's a harsh shadow on her head from the balloons. Doing this shot much later in the day when the sun is lower in the sky would help. Love the sky, though!
