Default Pretty flower girl (1st wedding on my own)

I've been shooting with and AMAZING photographer for about 2 years now as his second and he has been using a lot of my images. This was the first one I've done alone. I need to know what you think about this shot. I know only 1 a day so I may add a few over the next few days but this ws my favorite.
She was the flower girl.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Nikon D50
Focal length 200
Shutter Speed 1/60
F8

The lighting was very dim so I had my ISO bumped up the ISO to 1600 which I think was too much. I wish I'd gone with about 400 but live and leard. I also had to remove cheese from Mac and Cheese from around her face. Personally I shot about 500 and used about 120 plus some of the ones my husband shot.
ANY constructive critiques to help me improve welcome.

well the thing that bothers me the most is the fact that her hands are cut off. that kills it.
other than that, it's still a little underexposed.
sorry if I'm harsh...

Nope, not harsh. I wanted an honest critique so thanks. I can always lighten it just a tad in post but nothing I can do about the hands now. Is there another way I can crop so missing hands won't be an issue?

you can always crop it tight like this, but it's just too grainy.

That would have been pretty. I kick myself for using 1600 ISO!!

why f/8 ??
go as wide as you can without loosing sharpness, and that wil keep your ISO down too.

1. she could be smiling or showing some sort of emotion. (its a wedding after all.. its supposed to be a happy event)...
2. you should have included the flowers/basket

200mm @ 1/60th?? seems like you pulled that off... i wouldnt be so brave.
at 200 mm you need 1/200th to eliminate handshake blur.

Actually she did not smile the entire time, cried most of it and had a passifier stuck in her mouth the rest of the time. She refused to hold the basket even walking down the isle. Don't remember why I was on F8 at the time....this was actually at the reception and just a random lucky shot.
