Default Going for soft and gentle

Had a portrait shoot last week.. was a little tough as Ive known this girl for a long time.. so it was a little tough on the fact she wanted to do a little sultry.. but.. she has a beautiful smile and when she would start putting a serious face on.. bam.. another smile!

but... heres my photo and i added a soft "coco" effect to it but removed around her face

C_5865 lite coco
Exposure 0.003 sec (1/400)
Aperture f/2.0
Focal Length 50 mm
ISO Speed 200
Exposure Bias -2/3 EV

i wanted to really bring out her eyes and the softness to the pose and gesture...
do you feel that i achieved this?

other thoughts or critique is always welcome

This photo looks really pixelated, almost as if it was captured with a mobile phone.
Do you still have the original picture and did you shoot in RAW?
I kinda like the composition, but the photo quality kinda hurts my eyes. Sorry to say that.

does she naturally have a lot of freckles? if so i think you just need to possibly do a light skin smoothing layer...maybe looks like you tried to do a little spot treatment here and there on her face.....but it's hard to do with the amount of freckles.....i'm interested in seeing the original pic...

also it is very unexposed. you could push up the midtones a lot and then bump the contrast a little...i tried that and it made it look completely better, almost imediately got rid of the blotchy skin.

I don't mind the soft focus, I would like it better if it covered her face as well with her eyes, mouth and nostrils masked out to keep the crispness. I also think it's slightly underexposed.

I noticed that too after I uploaded... reason this is.. I uploaded to my flickr the ones I normally show for client proofing.. so.. only 150dpi and resized down
