![]() Ditto by MzChristine, on Flickr Canon XSI Exposure 0.005 sec (1/200) Aperture f/1.8 Focal Length 50 mm ISO Speed 400 This was taken in my living room, which has a sliding glass door to his right. The lighting is pretty good but this photo did have some bright highlights and I used the burn tool (book behind him, fish, right side of head). It doesn't stand out to my eye, but I was wondering if anything looked "off" to anyone else. First time I've used burn before. Opinions on the color tone would also be appreciated. This little guy is very fair and has reddish/blonde hair but it seems to me that his skin is a bit too warm. Everything else's color seems to be accurate. My monitor isn't calibrated at all so perhaps it's that. Thanks for any input, I'm always trying to improve for the sake of the family album. |

A really nice picture, the light is pretty good. If this was my we man I'd be happy to have him on my wall.
The picture, not the actual child - that could get messy!

Thank you both for your feedback. I think I'm going to work on my light bouncing technique so I can make the most out of my current lighting situation. Especially before my little model learns how to crawl away. I'm also glad the bit of postwork I did blends in. Sometimes I look at my photos so close, I don't see obvious things.
SuperDan - On a serious note, you do have a good point about the clothing. He visits frequently so I will have to compare the results (I'm trying to pay more attention to these things). Now that I think of it, just changing the color blanket I had on the floor might have helped. NgaiHill - Since he's just starting to eat foods, hanging him on the wall would be quite messy indeed!
