Date Taken: Aug. 29, 2010

Focal Length: 60mm
No Flash
Lens: AF-S Nikkor 55-200mm 1:4-5.6G
Image Size: 4288x2848
Image Quality: FINE

This was my first maternity shoot, well honestl first shoot with people other than family or roommates. I basically let them choose what they wanted to wear, and I chose the place and the shots. Let me know what you think.

My eyes went straight to the spot at the bottom. You'll need to crop or shop that out.

it's a nice shot, but for the next time, I think going even lower would have made it much more special.
I mean, get a lower, almost to ground level.

I can't connect with this photo in any way, to be honest. I feel like the way she's posed and the choice of wide focal length leaves me disconnected. For maternity, I like the shots to be much closer and intimate with a lot of feeling/emotion being provoked. I just don't feel that this photo does that.

The lighting is way too harsh. I would recommend, as Carrie/Gerry implied, shooting later in the day - early evening. You'll get much better lighting at that time of day.
