I think it's a great shot.
the only thing I can think of is you should have placed him on the left side of the photo instead of the right.
that way, the space would have been in the direction his looking.

Agree, you should have placed him on the left to give him some space to look into on the right. As it stands now, I feel it's way too centered.

Though focus seems good, it also appears you used the central focal point which is more on his mouth than eyes, though it helped that you used 5.6f/stop.

Also, it feels a bit posed.. almost as if you said "look thoughtful and to the right!" ;0

Otherwise, great exposure, and good use of DoF. Just some small considerations in terms of composition will take it further.

I would crop the left side out a little to make the shot look more balanced.
Other than that. it's a realy great photo!

Thanks a Ton... i will keep this in mind while taking these kind of shots... Yes he seems too be in center of the picture. will defiantly correct this in my future shots.

Oh, and change the perspective a bit.. everyone, and I mean everyone, can take a 'straight on" from eye-level shot. Even if you just tilt the camera a bit left or right, it'll make it a bit more dynamic (in my humble opinion).
Keep posting, let's see what you come up with next!

I am trying to understand your point... some visual can be a help for me... can you guide me to some samples what are you trying to explain by changing the perspective.

Happily.
Here, I shot from above:

Here I both shot from a higher angle and tilted the camera to the side to change things up.
http://www.alborrelli.com/wp-content...0mm%20(39).jpg

I especially chose the 2nd one because it's also centered, but because I change the perspective (and tilted the camera) I feel that it's a bit better than your typical 'centered' portrait.

I hope this helps you understand what I'm getting at?
