Talking Floater

Part of a personal photo session where she wanted to go 'fashiony'
I love the shot. Mostly because it came out exactly as I planned it, which helps me be happy though it doesn't mean it's good.

Not sure how you folks see it though, so I'm looking for comments on it in general, but also specifically if you like her expression and the processing..

I was going for calm, serene, almost as if "yep, it's perfectly normal for me to be floating in air" I wanted a floating calm feeling that you don't get in most jumping photos. Plus I want to see if the contrast between action, and a more business-like attire has the contrasty effect I was going for. More to come on my flickr stream..soon-ish.

Exif data:
Camera Canon EOS 5D
Exposure 0.008 sec (1/125)
Aperture f/7.1
Focal Length 24 mm
ISO Speed 125
Exposure Bias 0 EV
shot in Manual
150w studio flash, camera left angled slightly down shot through a very large umbrella. 1/4th power
PP: slight sharpening, slight crop, cross-processed the background though left subject as is. Slight vignetting.

Well one thing I will recommend is to post a slightly smaller size.
It isn't very easy to critique a photo when you have to scroll down to see the whole thing.

I do like the expression, though I can't tell how it works with the pose as I can't see the whole thing at once.

Actually, I quite like it Al! It has that "James Bond girl meets The Craft" kind of feel to it. I love the processing, it has a nice vintage Xpro look to it, which is very fitting for this shot.
I know this was a jumping shot, and it is very impressive that she was able to look that relaxed while doing so. The expression works for me too! Oh yes it does!

There... that should be better? I agree, for most, it should've been smaller.

Is the Craft that show that used to have S. Doherty and A. Milano? If so.. you're using cheesey chick magic show references on my photo.. NO SOUP FOR YOU! Oh, and thanks! heh

Sweet, thanks! The beauty of it is it's a simple cheap one light set up and a big white wall. I love simplicity.

Bah, it's big enough! 17" only thing chopped off is her feet. Though I think that's very important.
