Default Is this a good candid shot?

I realize the sun does create some spots here and there, but with candid and spontaneous, on the spot portraits, I feel it's not always possible to have the perfect lighting scene and so I accept these flaws. Maybe you guys know a solution for this? It would be a pity to miss out on these pictures just because of the sun, no?

Otherwise, does this picture work for you? I processed it to have this bleach colour effect.
What about the cropping? OK or does it need more?

All comments are welcome. Would so much like to improve.
thanks!

Bright sunny afternoon

I would try playing with the crop trying mainly to get rid of the dark spot on the bottom right and the large white section on the left side. I also wish the hand was over just a bit more so we could see her eyes! Not much you can do there though. Candids are so hard because often they would be perfect if just this one little thing would line up. Keep shooting!
