Default My first post: Shade-lights & Post-production suggestions

This is my first pic post. I am an amateur to say the least. But here to improve of course. So here we go.

I own Canon Powershot S2 IS. Though outdated and not exactly SLR, it still offers more control than point & click, I guess. This snap of mine was taken by holding camera in my own hand at quite close range (may be quite amateurish thing to do), sitting besides an open window. Done quite a bit of 'photoshop'ing.
Since this is my first attempt here, I would appreciate feedback on literally any aspect of the photo.
But if I am not allowed to be so generic, then you can give critique about shade-lights & the post production done in Photoshop CS5. By shade-lights, I mean...I wasn't controlling lights; just using natural ones. I want to know what angle may be I should have tilted my head/altered angle of camera to get better shadows etc; or the camera settings that I could have changed. Thank you.

Quick Self-Portrait

EXIF:
Camera: Canon Powershot S2 IS (Default lens)
Exposure: 0.05 sec (1/20)
Aperture: f/2.7
Focal Length 6 mm
Exposure Bias -2 EV
Flash: Off, Did not fire

ISO was set at 50 to avoid noise (My camera, with highest ISO capacity of 400 isn't exactly good at higher ISOs, I think; or may be I am wrong). Why doesn't my EXIF data contain info about ISO?

I would be highly obliged to receive any suggestions. Thanks.

I like the pictures and the shadows.
It would be nice to see the whole chin. I feel that you can cut a lot of the hair and face on a picture, but the chin should be on it completely.

For post production I'd check the white balance too. My screen isn't calibrated officially, but it seems to do well enough. The white of the eyes look too yellow to me. Either an all over white balance adjustment or just adjusting the white of the eyes would look more natural.

Thanks helga & KUlmer for suggestions.
@helga, a relook at the pic made me realize that I shouldn't have cropped away the chin. (But there was lot of unkept stubble that I wanted to hide). But will remember your advice from hereon. Thanks.
@KUlmer, yes, I did realize that overall color-balance wasn't exactly right. Now I tried to correct it. Have a look -

Thanks, I will calibrate my monitor too. Wow, my first post here, and am getting some useful tips straightaway. Any other suggestions?
