This is a photo of my daughter. I haven't done much with backlighting and was wondering if it works well here. Also how is the white balance and coloring? How did I do with the pp? Is her face too dark?

I think the colors look good.. late afternoon light right? The only thing I would do is straighten it OR make it more angled so that it looks like you delibrately tilted it.
Lovely model you have there (my teens are now in the run/make blank face stage) |

Looks good, I agree with the others regards the tilt but the backlighting is great.
I recently took some late afternoon shots of my daughter and had her hold a large sheet of white card about waist level, tilted to reflect the light up under her chin. Of course then you have to focus in a little closer but it brings the face up more and removes the shadows from under her chin and eyes.

i really like the way the sun makes her hair light up all gold-y. have you considered cropping it to be a head and shoulders shot? i think it would be nice that way- looks a bit like she wasn't sure what to do with her hands. you could crop it so that her face is in the left third of the frame and the light is there on her right- iykwim- if i knew how to do that and then post the cropped result i would...
