Default First wedding by myself Nice, or creepy?

This is the first wedding I've done by myself. I've been working with another photographer shooting weddings for about 2 years now and finally felt comfortable to shoot one without him. This was one of my favorite shots before the wedding. I like it but my husband says it's a little creepy. I have done zero edits on it. This is just the raw shot.

Nikon D50
18-200 nikon lens
Shutter speed 1/80
ISO 800
F5
No flash

He probably thinks it's creepy because you barely see her and it looks like she's trying to escape. There isn't an indentation in the curtains from her hands, so it almost seems like she's a ghost. Add to that, the fact that the only way we know she might be a bride is her veil and it seems a bit creepy?

I personally would have liked to see the window blown out with nice light washing over the bride so we see her dress more.

Just my two cents.

Do you think I can get that effect in post? I took several. A few had better exposure. Some had her turned to the side so you can clearly see her face and the dress. Maybe I'm weird. I like creepy. So would it be a good shot if it weren't a wedding shot and just a random girl in window shot?

You probably could get it in post depending on what kind of exposure you initially had. I'd probably try to get this effect from a shot that's a bit exposed more and one where you can see her face.

It could be a cool shot if it were something other than a wedding picture and if you did some post work on it.

Nothing wrong with creepy. I just wouldn't do it for a wedding.
