Weddings are made of of memorable moments and our job as photographers is to capture as many of those moments as possible and compress as much meaning into them as possible. In that way, this image is a moment and it may have special meaning to the couple. You have also done a good job of making use of available light. However, it's not a particularly flattering image. So my vote is; pretty good, but falls short of great; the couple may disagree

I like it, BUT....I guess it depends on the personality of the couple and the types of shots you are going for...I wouldn't say the title fits, as I definitely wasn't expecting that shot! It could be something fun for a frisky couple, but I wouldn't say that would be a tender staple all couples would want to have one of. JMHO.

What could I have done different to make this photo a GREAT shot. This couple did like this shot (so did the photographer I was working for) but I understand what daddyoproductions was saying, Frisky but not tender....some couples could have been embarrassed being caught this way? |

Just popping in and thought I would comment on this photo. I have to agree with the other replies.... My first reaction to the shot was "Wow! She's "man handling" him." I envision a "tender moment" to be more of a light touch on the face, or maybe the two of them looking each other in the eye or even the husband kissing her forehead. This shot seems to be more raw and passionate. However, this is just my opinion and if the couple likes it, then great!

All mine Passion Or Taking Charge or something like that. I just want to know if the responses I'm getting are that I miss labled it or because of the actual photo. I want to know how to make the photo itself better. |

It might be a little under exposed. Have you tried lightening it up a bit? Did you want the whole picture in focus? The hands/arms seem a little blurry. The husbands face is squished and his nose is poking her in the eye. The kiss could be much softer if she wasn't so close to his face. The wife's arm is too straight out. If she bent it a little more, or if he was holding her hand against his chest that might be a better pose.... sorry.... |

I wanted the whole shot in focus but this was actually the first wedding I'd ever done and was still not fully understanding DOF. I see what you mean about the husbands face looking squished Same with bending her arm...the photographer who I was working for WANTED the arms outstretched because he was highlighting the rings and he wanted the passion. I just shot it at a different angle 'cause I liked the lighting Don't be sorry...that it what I was looking for. I really like this shot but I wanted to know how I could have made it better, learn from the mistakes and take better pictures so THANK YOU!! |

The image is a bit too dark, I agree. But, I don't get anything 'tender' from it. It almost makes me wonder if that's the groom or the best man because they look like they're in a back hallway or something lol
