Default First senior photo shoot

IMG_5976

I took this senior photo while on vacation just for fun. I have a Canon Rebel EOS T1i. I used a 55- 250 lens. I would love for some feedback on this. Is there too much of a shadow on her face?

I think it looks nice! The composition is quite beautiful, and I love the light in the photo. I don't think there are too many shadows on her face. If I had to come up with one critique, it would be that her skin tones look pushed a little too for towards magenta. Maybe bring a little warmth back into her skin tone?

Agreed. I'd say your white balance is off on your camera. Do you have it set on Custom WB or Auto WB?

If you want the soft subtle look than you have got it except for the WB as already suggested. I'd add some more contrast. Although I am not very much against chopping off body parts if it suits the composition, I feel this one might have been better off either full body pose or just enough to show her hair. A closer, tighter crop showing emphasizing her hair might look more appealing or have it as another option.

Keep up!!
