Default Cat and Kid, another fully manual shot

Uh, I wasn't sure whether to put this in the animal section or the people section. Feel free to move it if it needs to be moved.
Still playing with manual settings, trying to nail it all down.
I love that you guys are so honest and put it all out there for me.
I would love to hear what you think of this one, exposure, composition, etc.
I, of course, adore this photo cause two of my babies are in it. But I am extremely biased.
You probably can tell, but they were sitting right next to a window. I thought the light looked interesting.
Thanks for any input or suggestions.

To tell you the truth, IT SUCKS! It's HORRIBLE! heh Just kidding. But, sometimes you may see a response like that. Not from DPS but, it may happen.

Honestly, I think the shot works simply because you managed to get both the cats eyes in focus even though one's lit up and the other isn't so much. I like it. You did well. Although, it's not a very 'interesting' shot. You're headed in the right direction. Keep it up.

Ha, LOL. It's a Mommy Shot. I know that. I take lots of those.
Right now I want to fully master those settings to the point that I could do them in my sleep. That is my goal. I was pretty decent with composition when I did point and shoot photography, but my brain can't do them both at the same time right now.
