Default My Little Girl

Don't let the subject deceive you, though I love my sweet little girl, I am hoping to get better at photographing her, so I need my pictures ripped apart! I see that her dress is blown out, what else? I'm nervous for the critique (this is my first picture ever posted for critique), but ready to learn!

Thanks you guys

Shant, I am days old to DPS. I don't know what you mean by that. I don't know even really how to post pictures on here! Haha, I feel kind of silly. Can you explain what you meant by that? Thanks so much!

This will help: Digital Photography School - Photography Forums - FAQ: Posting Images

Since you're new, you might want to have a look through the whole FAQ section, it covers a lot of good info to have.

Welcome to DPS! It's a great site.

I agree it's a nice shot; my first reaction to it, though, is to think what a pity it is we can't see your gorgeous girl's face.

Just my 2p-worth...

Thanks for your opinions you guys. As she does have a beautiful face, I kind of liked how she was looking away, kind of made it into a story to me. But I get to see her face everyday, so maybe I take that for granted. haha. I appreciate the feedback nonetheless.

Becky

PS: Is there a way I can fix the dress from being blown out?

For this shot, I would have liked to see a little more of the environment.

Did you do any post work? Sometimes, the post processing will blow/clip parts. What editing software are you using?
