Default Here are two people

One K9 person and one human person.

I'm playing with retouching lately and wonder if you think the after looks "natural" enough.

Since this is a gif, it doesn't retain the exif, but it was probably 1/250 @ f8 with three Alien Bees. Two for the BG and one for the subject.

For those interested, I used Mama Shan's Silk Powder action on the skin and MCP's The Dentist action on the teeth.

Perfect retouching, Jim! She still looks natural and you've retained enough texture that she looks normal for her age. Kudos - too many others would try to make a 60 year old look 20, LOL. Mama Shans and MCP are the bomb!

ETA: I'd use the liquefy tool just the teeniest bit on her hip/butt to nudge it in just a tad. I normally don't but there's quite a big bulge there. Nothing obvious, just smooth it out a bit. And on her other leg I'd get rid of the bumps on her thigh and knee.

Great job on the retouch I agree with much of what Susan said, especially about retaining the "look" of her age.

Cheers!

Geesh, the dog looks horrible!
haha j/k, it looks great, well done. Susan, as usual, nailed it on the things I would have said. So +1 on that.

EDIT: On second glance... some depth is lost in your editing. I'm missing some of the shadows around her face, like the ones around her cheeks which helped give it some depth to me. I still think, in the end it's fine, but it does feel a tiny bit flat.

It seems god to me. I might have tried to lighten up the deep line on her left cheek.

I too agree with Susan's assessment. Great re-touch. I've got some of Mama Shan's actions and I've yet to really try them.

Thanks everyone. The before & after animated gif is also an experiment. Maybe I should slow it down a bit :d

You could use a rollover effect
HTML Code:
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/skersting/4857467127/" title="_SK11249-Edit-2.jpg by skersting66, on Flickr">
<img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4123/4854271653_0e52edbc59.jpg" onmouseover="this.src='http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4093/4857467127_6c6a0deee7.jpg'" onmouseout="this.src='http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4123/4854271653_0e52edbc59.jpg'"></a>
