I can see several areas of improvement in this shot. Firstly it is a little underexposed. That flash needed to be a bit brighter, or the ISO bumped up from the 200 you used to 400 perhaps. You could have even dropped the f-stop from f8 down to f5.6 or thereabouts and still retained a reasonable DOF in this one.

The focus is also out. You used 1/30th shutter speed which is usually way too low to shoot humans with. You may be able to shoot steady at the 14mm focal length you used but your subjects are unlikely to sit dead still so try to shoot at 1/60th or higher with people. You gotta get those eyes sharp.

Composition, I'd like to have seen more of the glass in shot or not see it at all. I think it's important to the shot though as it tells these people are sitting around having a nice social drink somewhere.
The woman obviously was happy to have the photo taken but the man is either uninterested or too cool to look at the camera. This has created a kind of conflict in the image which doesn't work for me.
