Hi There, still extremely new at this so would appreciate any critique on this photo. I wish I didnt have a little of the top of his chopped off, but nothing I can do about that now, but I do realize that is less than ideal

I actually love the crop..fits him and the feeling of the photo well, imo. Did you add any texture?..It looks like it, and also fits the shot nicely!..Thanks for sharing!

HeHe he looks a cheeky chappy i don`t see a problem with the composition really and you have captured a great expression and lovely eyes aswell

First thing I noticed is that he's way overexposed on his right (camera left). You were using an ISO of 800. That's pretty high for being out in the sun light. Yeah, the head being chopped a little is distracting but, not enough to ruin the shot. IMO.

Thanks for the replies. I will try and see what I can fix with the over exposure on the camera left side. It was very cloudy out so I went with a higher ISO but I prob should have kept it a bit lower. Thanks.
