Thanks for looking!...I am a self-taught/amateur photographer..so specifics and/or certain photography terms are still quite new to me. This is a photo of my son in my front yard..I have such a biased opinion when it comes to pictures of him, so this is the reason for posting it here..Have any ideas on what could make the shot any better?..Personally, I love it..even though I feel like something might be missing for the wow factor. I am also wondering if the shot would be better with the puppy cropped out..or maybe some brightness added to it to bring more focus to the dog? And, of course, If you love it, Please share why ...Any, and all, comments/critiques are welcome and appreciated!Sony DSC-h2 (6mp), highest shutter speed (on this camera)..unsure of the exact details. Not the best camera I know, I'm saving up for a Nikon D90! ![]() If you are interested in seeing more of my photography..please visit me here! Login | Facebook |

Thank you for the comments! I also have a love for b&w photos..I went ahead and cropped the puppy out..I would have liked to have more of the pup in there, which would have helped a bit with him being so centered, but there was a hand in the way (pitching the ball.)..Do you believe it helped?..I still like the first one just a bit better..I get lost a bit in the trees now, and think maybe keeping him centered may help that..Thanks again!
Also, oops..sorry about that..lol Sony DSC-H2 ISO-160 f/3.2 35mm |

Hi, I really like the dog...it's cute because it's a story about a boy and his dog playing baseball...it's kind of Norman Rockwell to leave the dog in... I think the left side of the photo is very uninteresting and should be cropped down. The right side is much more interesting with the shape of the sky and tree in the background... I like that. There is nothing worth looking at on the left side of the pic...If you could get more dog in the pic that would be great, but even if he's a little cut off I'd still keep him, he's cute. I wouldn't crop the top or bottom...they seem just right.

I agree that the boy should be less centered and more of the dog included in the shot. I also know that children and animals are both difficult to photograph and you have both here, so still pretty good job
