This is another of my attempts at low key photography. Would like to hear of what you think about the lighting & composition...others thoughts on how the photo can be improved are welcome.

Tell you what, for the most part I really like it. I love the texture!
For me tho, there is just a tad bit too much black behind the image and the tips of the fingers are cut off. Other than that, I dont know what else to tell you to improve it

I think you did fairly well, but to me the biggest issue is that the subject is too small in relation to the overall image size....This allows the wall to compete for primary attention.

I like it and the textured used. But the texture part of the image is too bright and circular for my taste. I would try a gradient to get a smooth transition from light to dark or vice versa on the textured wall.

I love this pic. The lighting is dramatic, the large size is dramatic...The mans eyes just draw you in...I think the size and the lighting work if you are going for drama... I don't mean drama in a bad way. I think it's really cool, and personally I love it when the light and dark areas of a picture are very distiguishable.
