Default Toddler Action Pose

Hello ... lately my son has become my biggest subject. I really like his expression in this shot but would like any advice on improving the composition and contrast. It looks a little washed out to me. Thanks for your feedback.

What a cute little boy! He does look a bit washed out to me as well. I would suggest adding a bit of contrast and darkening him slightly (very slightly.) I can post a version with the changes I would make if you are interested. The composition is nice. I know how hard it is framing little kids on the move. As Pitrih said try to keep from cutting off fingers. And I would suggest avoiding distracting backgrounds like that fence.

EDIT: I just looked at your EXIF and realised that the "washed-out" look is probably due to the fact that you over-exposed the shot.

Cute subject! I'd move him right of center to get his hand in the composition. Also, bump contrast in curves and possibly burn or multiply the background to make him pop.
